Natural Medicine Chest

 

Here are the staples of your natural medicine chest:

Arsenicum Album -- homeopathic poison antidote

Peroxide -- disinfectant

Colloidal Silver -- kills infections internal and external

Milk thistle --stops allergy attack by detoxifying liver (stops histamine production)

Safe Natural Insecticide -- 15 drops each Essential oils of lavender, citronella, tea tree oil in one litre of distilled or R/O water.  Spray or wipe on.  Essentail oil of lavender can also be applied to burns and bruises to stop pain,  Tea tree oil is a great disinfectant and discourages fleas

Fresh or dried Feverfew leaves -- brew 3 leaves of feverfew as a tea to relieve cold symptoms, PMS or migraine headache.  Simmer feverfew leave in a large pot of water for 20 minutes.  After bathing, rinse your horse with the feverfew tea to stop insect bites for up to 3 days.  Also deters lice

Epsom salts -- add to hot water and soak in it as a natural muscle relaxant for sore muscles.  Soak wounds or injuries in it (including hoof abscesses) to release swelling and infection.  Wash a horse in epsom salts to sooth and de-sensitize the animal's skin from scurf, flies and biting insects.  Use as a mouth rinse and analgesic for gum and tooth infections

Digestive enzymes, pro-biotics -- keep on hand to immediately relieve colic in horses, heartburn and indigestion in people

Grapefruit seed extract -- powerful anti-microbial.  Use a few drops in water as a mouth wash to stop infections.  Drink a few drops in a glass of water daily to kill candida and other parasites.  Quickly stops or prevents diahhrea and food poisoning.  Also take when exposed to colds or  flu.  Take when a cold sore erupts to quickly kill the virus and also use as a mouth wash.  Place a few drops in water as use as a disinfectant.  Great to take on vacation when you aren't sure of the water quality

 

Here are some simple home remedies for people and animals (especially horses) that REALLY work!

Pain Poultice -- soak a cloth or quilt in epsom salts and apple cider vinegar.  Wrap the leg and bandage.  Can also be applied to forehead for headache or migraine

Swelling and infection from injury, hoof absesses, gum infection -- soak in hot water laced heavily with epsom salts.  Rinse with peroxide pr colloidal silver.  Colloidal silver is a wonderful antidote for infection.  May be taken internally and applied topically

Hoof problems -- Oral doses of E 3 Live algae   Foot injuries generally indicate a feeling of over-exposure

Food poisoning or diahhrea -- 8 drops grapefruit seed extract in a glass of water or juice.  Repeat if necessary
